What types of PI are collected? Answer: As a Rievent customer, you have the control over what learner PI is collected. Rievent does not determine the use for the PI, except for the learner's email address, which is used as one of the Rievent platform's unique identifiers for each learner account.
Why do we collect those types of PI (what are they used for)? Answer: Same as above. As a Rievent customer, you have the control over what learner PI is collected. Rievent does not determine the use for the PI, except for the learner's email address, which is used as one of the Rievent platform's unique identifiers for each learner account.
Is the PI shared with third parties for targeted advertising? Answer: Rievent does not share PI with third parties. It is not for Rievent to know or to control what happens to the PI, whether customers share PI with third parties, or if customers grant access to the admin portal for third parties.
How long is the PI retained and specify why it is retained for that length of time? Answer: Rievent does not set a limit for retaining PI. It is up to each customer to manage retention and deletion of learner accounts.
Is the PI encrypted? Answer: All PI learner data is obfuscated in the test environment and technical development environments, but not in the live environment. The only PI learner data that is encrypted in all environments, including in production (live), is the learner password. It is up to each customer to guard the data in the account as far as who has access to it.
The Rievent Platform production database will eventually have all data encrypted at rest. Rievent has completed migrating some testing databases to encryption at rest, and the production environment will come at a later date. No concrete time frame has been set at this time.
