The Rievent team is proud to bring you Rievent Platform version 9.14, now live. This release is packed full of new features and enhancements:
ANCC NARS Reporting
The Rievent Platform now supports the ANCC's Nursing Activity Reporting System (NARS). For all ANCC accredited activities, participation and credit data is automatically tracked and maintained in the Rievent Platform database. A dedicated ANCC NARS interface in the platform allows admins to quickly enter information such as the activity design, core competencies, and financial data. When it's time to upload the data to NARS, a one-click export downloads your data from Rievent in a ready-to-upload format supported by NARS. The NARS export can be done for a single activity, or for all activities at once.

Live Events Session-Based Credit:
For live events that support multiple credit types, such as events that support AMA Physician, AMA Non-Physician, and ACPE Pharmacy credit, admins can now configure sessions within an event to offer one or more credit type(s) specifically. Additionally, admins can set up a session so learners can claim incremental credit or just the max credit amount for each credit type offered. For example, a session offering ACPE Pharmacy credit and AMA Physician credit may only support selecting the maximum credit amount for ACPE Pharmacy credit, while the AMA Physician credit for the same session is offered as incremental credit.
When claiming credit, a learner will pre-select their credit type(s), and will then only be shown sessions configured to offer the specific credit type(s) that were pre-selected.
- Example 1: An event is set up with multiple sessions, some of which only offer ACPE Pharmacy credit and some that only offer AMA Physician Credit. When claiming credit for the event, a pharmacist who pre-selects the ACPE credit type would only be able to claim credit for sessions that included ACPE credit. They would not see any of the sessions configured for only AMA Physician credit. However, if there were sessions that offered both ACPE and Physician credit, the pharmacist would be able to claim only the ACPE credit associated with the session.
- Example 2: A single session is configured to offer both ACPE Pharmacy credit and Physician credit, but the Pharmacy credit only allows the max credit to be claimed but the Physician credit offers incremental credit of .25 hours. If a learner pre-selects the ACPE Pharmacy credit type, they will only be allowed to claim the max credit amount for the session. If a learner selects the AMA Physician credit type, they would be to select credit in the 0.25hr increments.
- Example 3: An event is set up with multiple sessions, some of which offer both Physician and MOC credit and some that only offer Physician credit. When claiming credit for the event, a learner who pre-selects both Physician and MOC credit types would be able to claim credit for the sessions offering only Physician credit, as well as sessions offering both Physician and MOC credit.

Password Related Enhancements
- Stronger Password Requirements: All new and updated passwords in the Rievent Platform (admins and learners) must be a minimum of 8 characters. The new password must contain numbers, as well as not use sequences of repeated characters.
NOTE: For customers that use SSO with Rievent, this will not affect your learners, but it will affect any new administrative accounts (to access the admin portal) you create moving forward. - Password Strength Indicator: A visual bar displays the strength of the password in real-time.
Multi-Location Live Event Registration:
For multi-location live event activities, any events that have already concluded will display to the learner on the Event Selection page during registration.
Live Events "Save the Date" for Future Events
You can now create "Save the Date" event listings in the Learning Portal so learners can search for and save up-coming live events that are not yet open for registration. The "Save the Date" link is displayed on an activity's registration chooser page. When a learner clicks the Save the Date link, a drop-down allows them to add a reminder to their calendar of choice. To use this feature, set the registration start time, from the admin portal's Live Events tab, to a future date.

Credit Affirmation Statement
An optional "Credit Affirmation Statement" can now be added to any credit option. This statement will display to learners when they are selecting the credit type they would like to claim.
For example, if learners are required to agree to specific statements before requesting credit, these statements can be added using the "Credit Affirmation Statement" field when setting up the respective credit type.

MOC and ACPE Web Services Credit Validation
For customers using the automated ACPE and MOC fulfillment web services, learners will now have their board number and birth date validated in real time. If their birth date or board number is invalid, learners are taken back to the credit selection page with an appropriate warning, allowing them to resupply this data, or choose a different credit type, and try again.

MOC and ACPE "Find My Number"
A new "Find My Number" link displays for learners to quickly look-up their membership numbers when claiming ACPE or MOC-related credit. When learners click the link, a new window will open with the associated board's membership lookup page. This enhancement is supported for the NABP as well as the following ABMS boards that have collaborated with the ACCME: ABIM and ABP.
Fulfillment Related Enhancements
- Real-time Fulfillment Queue Notification: The number of participation records currently in the fulfillment queue now displays on the fulfillment tab. Hover the cursor over the number to see more information.
- Fulfillment Notes: The a new fulfillment notes column was added to the Fulfillment tab to better indicate why the record is in queue. The messages that display are messages returned to Rievent from the platform set up to receive the data (e.g., CPE Monitor). The messages are displayed exactly as they are received.
